Starchild Rooftop
There’s a new kid in town! A rooftop lounge brought to us by Carver Road Hospitality just opened up over in Hell’s Kitchen. Located on the 27th floor of the Civilian Hotel, Starchild has impressive panoramic views of New York City and really unique cocktails.
Prime bathroom selfie! Kudos on the cool lighting and mirrored-walls in the bathroom. Grab your girls for a late night bathroom selfie early in the night… before everyone gets too drunk.
Featured above are the cocktails we ordered on repeat. On the left is the Ciao MF cocktail and on the right is the OnlyFans Martini, which I learned is a twist on the classic “Pornstar Martini” that uses cachaça instead of vodka. And then I had to look up what that was too, so Wikipedia told me it’s just “a distilled spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice.”
The first few rounds of drinks were delicious, but you know I’m a whiskey girl, so the Mr. Lee Manhattan cocktail was my favorite cocktail last night.
Final thoughts… Starchild is located on 48th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues. Taking the subway is a good option because of how close it is to Times Square. If you’re coming from out of town and staying in the city for the night, I recommend my go-to weekend hotel — Ink48. If it’s a weeknight, opt for the still nice, but most likely cheaper option — Yotel.
